Purpose:

To consider the comments received following the formal advertisement of the proposal to amend the limited waiting bays in Amesbury town centre currently subject to a one hour, no return within one hour, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm restriction to thirty minutes, no return within one hour, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.

Decision:

I approve that:

 

(i)         The proposals be implemented as advertised.

 

(ii)        The correspondents be informed accordingly.

 

 

This decision was published on 27 July 2017 and will come into force on 4 August 2017.           

Reasons for the decision:

The scheme has been proposed to support an enhanced turn-over of spaces within the limited waiting bays in Amesbury town centre.  Given that the scheme has been proposed locally by the Town Council, and the low level of objection, it is proposed that the Order be made as advertised.

(ii)        Abandon the proposals and retain the existing restriction.
