Purpose:

To consider eight objections and one of support raised in relation to a proposed PUFFIN crossing located on the A4, Bridewell Street, Marlborough (see Appendix 1).

Decision:

I approve that the proposal be implemented as advertised.

 

This decision was published on 25 November 2014 and will come into force on 2 December 2014.

Reasons for the decision:

Implementation of a PUFFIN crossing on the A4 Bridewell Street, Marlborough to improve safety for pedestrians crossing at this location.

(ii)        Not implement proposal.

 

(iii)       Implement proposal with amendments.

Other reasons / organisations consulted

Consultations (at pre-consultation and full consultation stage) have been undertaken with the Fire, Police and Ambulance Services and also with the relevant bus companies. The town and parish councils have been consulted along with consultation with the local Wiltshire Council Member. Advertisements have been posted in the local press and notices posted in a prominent position on the site.
