CCG RUH Maternity Transformation Consultation To receive a presentation from Sarah MacLennan on the CCG RUH Maternity Transformation Consultation. Minutes: Sarah MacLennan gave a presentation on the CCG RUH Maternity Transformation Consultation.
Matters highlighted in the course of the presentation and discussion included: the background to the proposal for future maternity services; the changing needs of the local population; the amount of local births and where they take place; use of post-natal community hospital beds; the need to base staff in the right locations; rate of usage between different birthing centres; the desire to increase opportunity for home births; increasing birth rates across the locality; the breakdown of the proposal for future maternity services; the benefits of the proposal; the effect of the proposal on future finances and that the public can engage with the consultation at www.transformingmaternity.org.uk. |

Minutes: The Area Board received and noted the following updates from key partners:
· That the additional officers being proposed by the OPCC precept would be distributed county-wide and will be placed in the areas that are most in need.
· That the NHS Long-term Plan was being looked atand will be implemented over the coming years. · That work was being undertaken to make the workforce more resilient, including working together with a range of services and partners. · That the three partners will be working autonomously and will continue to work out of their individual practices. · That there was a clear effort being made to tackle the reduction on GP numbers but this was difficult locally and country-wide.
· That there had been a number of drone sightings and the Parish Council was working with locals to make them aware of the necessary rules and regulations · That improved broadband was incoming for much of the parish · That a Bremhill Parish video had been made to raise money for village hall
· That parish residents were encouraged to vote in the referendum for the new village hall.
· That there had been a meeting about the Cherhill Monument repair works and that progress was being made. · That the Calne Town Civic Awards nominations close on 15th February 2019 · A planning application will shortly be submitted to reconfirm the phase II plans for the Skate Park · The Town Council have again funded the free two hours parking in the Church Street Car Park. · GreenSquare Group are hosting an information session on Thursday 24th between 15.30 and 18:00 to share their plans for the redevelopment of the flats at Marden Court. |

Community Presentations To receive feedback from two community groups:
1. Calne Alpha 4 Synchronised Swimming Group 2. Wordfest – Helen Bradley will provide information about the forthcoming literacy festival in Calne. Minutes: Clair Murphy provided feedback on the Calne Alpha 4 Synchronised Swimming Club.
Matters highlighted in the course of the presentation and discussion included: the background of the club; the progression of the club; the training on offer; what competitions the club offer and are involved in; the club iPads and how they are used and future plans for the club and the sport in general in the local area.
Helen Bradley provided information about the forthcoming Wordfest literacy festival in Calne.
The Chairman noted the Area Board’s congratulations to Clair Murphy for winning the South West Area award to Unsung Heroes of the 2018 Sports Personality of the Year competition.
Matters highlighted in the course of the presentation and discussion included: the desire to build relationships across the locality to produce resources accessible for locals; the festival in March which would involve pub quizzes, comedy workshops, a fun day, battle of the bands, and World Book Day; the launch of a story booth to collect different stories around Calne; how to keep safe if you struggle with reading; the Window Trail; who can use training session and the possibility of working with the NHS to feedback vulnerabilities.
Helen was advised to liaise with Diane Gooch and the Health & Wellbeing Group to discuss support for the adult literacy project being planned. |

Supporting documents: Minutes: Consideration was given to the 3 applications made to the Community Area Grants Scheme. It was also noted that a new bid to the Cllr initiative for encouraging community litter picking, had been received from the Calne Clean-up Crew - £466.09 would be allocated.

(Cllr Trotman declared an interest in this application as they have made him a product in the past and as such did not participate in the vote.)

National Armed Forces Day To receive a presentation from Jane Vaughan, Community Engagement Manager, on the National Armed Forces Day in June 2019 and how Wiltshre’s local communities can get involved, including a request for funding of £1,000. Supporting documents: Minutes: Jane Vaughan gave a presentation on the National Armed Forces Day in June 2019 and how Wiltshire’s communities could get involved.
Matters highlighted in the course of the presentation and discussion included: the three-day programme of the National Armed Forces weekend; the scope of the event; community involvement in the event; the importance of the event to Wiltshire and Salisbury in particular; the social media photograph campaign; the community tapestry project and the largest human poppy world record attempt.
