Minutes: The Chairman drew attention to the following announcements available in the agenda pack and circulated at the meeting:
· Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner – Precept consultation
In response to questions fielded by the Area Board to Jerry Herbert, Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner, it was noted: that the extra funding will be used to increase the officer footprint in local areas; that 41 extra officers will be hired if funding is granted; that the clean-up rates are published on the PCC website and the Office of National Statistics; that volunteers were used in the Wiltshire area; that the recruitment of staff also focused on cyber-crime; how cyber-crime is dealt with in the Wiltshire area; how Wiltshire Police is working to advise young people on how to behave online; that the public can engage with the consultation via https://www.wiltshire-pcc.gov.uk.

Partner Updates Part. 1 To receive any updates from partner organisations:
· Wiltshire Police · Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Minutes: a) Wiltshire Police – the written report and following points were noted:
· That Action Fraud work with local departments and colleagues overseas to bring online criminals to justice. · That Wiltshire Police was looking at the most appropriate format for Area Board reports and public were encouraged to come forward with their own thoughts. · That hare-coursing was still prevalent in the locality but Wiltshire Police was working hard to get convictions.
b) Wiltshire Fire and Rescue – the video update and following points noted:
· That there continued to be daily deployments from Pewsey · That you could follow the Pewsey Fire Service on Twitter · That recruitment was going well in Pewsey and the Fire Service was doing a good job locally. |

Minutes: a) Local Youth Network
Consideration was given to 3 applications for youth grant funding.
The Chairman invited a representative of each applicant to give a brief overview of their project to the Area Board.
Resolved
1. To award 21st Century Legacy £1000 for its health and wellbeing project for young people
2. To award 1st Pewsey Guides £500 for its 1st Pewsey Guides and Senior Section Unit
3. To award Jackdaws Music Education Trust £300 for its Jackdaws Opera Plus project
b) Health and Wellbeing Projects
Consideration was given to 4 applications for health and wellbeing grant funding.

1. To award Bruce Branch canal trip for isolated residents £585
2. To award Kennet Gateway Club transport fund £2000
3. To award Memory Café £500

c) Community Area Transport Group (CATG)
The Chairman drew the Area Board’s attention to the recommendations from the 21st December 2018 CATG meeting outlined in the report.
It was noted that the CATG was struggling to fulfil all of the projects it had set out to do due to a lack of funds and that this meant that local parishes contribute more money than in other areas due to this.

To adopt the recommendations of the CATG as outlined in the report. |

CCG RUH Maternity Transformation Consultation To receive a presentation from Sarah MacLennan on the CCG RUH Maternity Transformation Consultation. Minutes: The Chairman announced that Item 8 had been removed from the agenda. |

National Armed Forces Day To receive a presentation from the Community Engagement Manager, Ros Griffiths, about the National Armed Forces Day 2019 and how Wiltshire’s local communities can get involved. Supporting documents: Minutes: Ros Griffiths, Community Engagement Manager, gave a presentation on the National Armed Forces Day in June 2019 and how Wiltshire’s communities could get involved.
Matters highlighted in the course of the presentation and discussion included: the three-day programme of the National Armed Forces weekend; the scope of the event; community involvement in the event; the importance of the event to Wiltshire and Salisbury in particular; the social media photograph campaign; the community tapestry project and the largest human poppy world record attempt.

To award £1500 for three National Armed Forces Day projects (Community Art Tapestry, Human Poppy World Record Attempt and Social Media Photograph Campaign). |

Community Area Grants To determine any applications for Community Area Grants.

Minutes: It was noted that the application from Burbage Village Hall for village hall repairs had been withdrawn prior to the Area Board meeting.
The Area Board considered 3 applications for Community Area Grant funding.
The Chairman invited the local Councillor to introduce each application, following which a representative of the applicant was given an opportunity to give a brief overview of their project to the Area Board.

b) Pewsey Area Partnership (PCAP) – the following points were noted:
· That there had recently been a Pewsey Vale Rail User Group meeting. · That the Pewsey Vale Rail User Group had developed a good relationship with Great Western Rail (GWR) and that GWR gave two free train tickets to be used in the Pewsey Open Day raffle. · That the relationship with Great Bedwyn Rail User Group was good and they were often in contact. · That the next PCAP meeting is at Woodborough Parish Rooms.
c) NHS Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group - the written update was noted. |
