To:

(i)         Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at various locations within Malmesbury and St Paul Malmesbury Without Parish Order.

(ii)        Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) with minor amendments to the advertised proposals.

I approve that:

(i)         The restrictions be implemented as advertised, subject to the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3.

(ii)        The objectors be informed accordingly.

This decision was published on  21 June 2017 and will come into force on 29 June 2017.

The comments set out in Appendix 2 on the various objections received indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the scheme with the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3.

To:

(i)         Implement the proposals as advertised.

(ii)        Not implement the proposals.

(iii)       Implement the proposals with amendments.

As part of the town centre parking review the relevant town and parish councils were consulted prior to the advertisement process. The review resulted in 7 locations in Malmesbury and St Paul Malmesbury Without being put forward to advertisement. 

During the advertisement period a total of 24 items of correspondence have been received in response to the proposals contained within the advertised TRO. Of the 24 items of correspondence received, 17 expressed support for the Council’s proposals and 7 objected.
