Purpose:

To:

 

(i)         Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at Avon Road, Devizes.

 

(ii)        Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order with minor amendments to the advertised proposal.

Decision:

I approve that:

 

(i)            The restrictions be implemented as advertised, subject to the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3.

 

(ii)           The objectors be informed accordingly.

 

 

                This decision was published on  5 July 2017 and will come into force on 13 July 2017            

 

Reasons for the decision:

The comments set out in Appendix 2 on the various objections received indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the scheme with the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3.

To:

 

(i)         Implement the proposals as advertised.

 

(ii)        Not implement the proposals.

 

(iii)       Implement the proposals with amendments.

As a result of the public advertisement two letters of representation were received.

 

Both letters of representation supported the scheme, whilst the first letter of representation also called for an amendment in the proposed advertisement.
