Purpose:

To:

 

(i)               Consider the support / objections received to the advertised proposals for parking controls at Sir Bernard Lovell Road / Lipman Way, Cowbridge, Malmesbury.

 

(ii)              Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) as per the advertised proposal.

(i)            The restrictions be implemented as advertised.

(ii)          The objectors be informed accordingly.

 

The decision was published on 18 November 2019 and will come into force on 26 November 2019.

Reasons for the decision:

The comments set out in Appendix 2 on the various objections received indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the proposal as advertised.

Consultation

 

As part of the mini parking review in the Malmesbury area, St. Paul Malmesbury without Parish Council were consulted on the proposals prior to the formal advertisement process. 

 

During the advertisement period a total of 11 items of correspondence were received in response to the proposals contained within the advertised TRO.  Of the 11 items of correspondence received, 8 expressed full support for the Council’s proposals, 1 supported the proposal but requested additional restrictions and 2 objected to the proposal in its current form.
