Questions

To receive any questions from members of the public or members of the Council received in accordance with the constitution.

Those wishing to ask questions are required to give notice of any such questions in writing to the officer named on the front of this agenda no later than 5pm on Tuesday 3 June 2025 in order to be guaranteed of a written response. In order to receive a verbal response, questions must be submitted no later than 5pm on Thursday 5 June 2025. Please contact the officer named on the front of this agenda for further advice. Questions may be asked without notice if the Chairman decides that the matter is urgent.

Details of any questions received will be circulated to Committee members prior to the meeting and made available at the meeting and on the Council’s website.

To receive a report setting out topics recommended for inclusion in the new Environment Select Committee (ESC) section of the Overview and Scrutiny (OS) work programme as agreed by the OS Management Committee at its meeting on 3 June 2025. As well as the next steps for further developing a comprehensive OS work programme that reflects the priorities of the Council, its Members, and Wiltshire residents.

To receive a brief verbal update from attending Cabinet Members (or Portfolio Holders on their behalf) highlighting any news, successes, or milestones in their respective areas since the last meeting of the Committee that are not covered elsewhere on the agenda.

To confirm the date of the next scheduled meeting as 15 July 2025.

Any other items of business which the Chairman agrees to consider as a matter of urgency.
