To elect a Chairman for the forthcoming year.

The Democratic Services Officer sought nominations for a Chairman for the forthcoming year. Cllr Laura Mayes, seconded by Cllr Maria Hoult, nominated Cllr Dominic Muns.

There were no further nominations, and it was:

Resolved:

To elect Cllr Dominic Muns as Chairman of the Devizes Area Board for 2025/26.

To elect a Vice-Chairman for the forthcoming year.

The Chairman sought nominations for a Vice-Chairman for the forthcoming year. Cllr Laura Mayes, seconded by Cllr Maria Hoult, nominated Cllr Tamara Reay.

There were no further nominations, and it was:

To elect Cllr Tamara Reay as Vice-Chairman of the Devizes Area Board for 2025/26. 

The Local Highways and Footpath Improvement Group (LHFIG) operates as an informal working group making recommendations to the Area Board for approval. Terms of Reference (ToR) are set out in the attached report for information.

The Area Board are invited to appoint a Lead Councillor to the LHFIG.

The Chairman invited the Area Board to appoint a representative to the Local Highways and Footway Improvement Group (LHFIG). 

Following which, it was: 

Resolved: 

To defer the appointment of a representative to the Local Highways and Footway Improvement Group (LHFIG) to the next meeting of the Devizes Area Board scheduled for 30 June 2025, but to appoint Cllr Philip Whitehead as interim representative for the LHFIG, until that time.
