Apologies for Absence

Election of Chairman

To elect a Chairman for the forthcoming year.

The Democratic Services Officer sought nominations for a Chairman for the forthcoming year.

 

Cllr Kevin Daley, seconded by Cllr Graham Wright, nominated Cllr Ian Blair-Pilling.

 

The Democratic Services Officer requested any other nominations. Cllr Alan Hagger, seconded by Cllr Kevin Asplin nominated Cllr Dr Monica Devendran.

 

Both nominees detailed what they felt they could bring to the role of Chairman.

 

This was followed by votes for each nominee, the results of which were equal. Therefore, in accordance with the procedure detailed in the constitution, and included in the agenda, the Democratic Services Officer flipped a coin to break the tie. It was,

 

Resolved:

 

To elect Cllr Ian Blair-Pilling as Chairman of the Stonehenge Area Board for 2025/26.

Election of Vice-Chairman

To elect a Vice-Chairman for the forthcoming year.

Minutes:

The Chairman sought nominations for a Vice-Chairman for the forthcoming year. Cllr Alan Hagger, seconded by Cllr Kevin Asplin nominated Cllr Dr Monica Devendran.

 

There were no further nominations, and it was,

 

Resolved:

 

To elect Cllr Dr Monica Devendran as Vice-Chairman of the Stonehenge Area Board for 2025/26.

16.

Appointment of a Representative to the LHFIG

The Local Highways and Footpath Improvement Group (LHFIG) operates as an informal working group making recommendations to the Area Board for approval. Terms of Reference (ToR) are set out in the attached report for information.

 

The Area Board are invited to appoint a Lead Councillor to the LHFIG.

Cllr Graham Wright, seconded by Cllr Kevin Daley, nominated Cllr Ian Blair-Pilling to be the lead representative on the LHFIG for the forthcoming year.
