22/01/2021 - HC-01-21 - Intention - Acquisition of property in Christie Miller Road Salisbury ref: 1727    Recommendations Approved

The report seeks consideration of proposals to bring a property back into use as affordable housing whilst addressing the requirements of DEFRA and respecting the impact the property has had on the local community.

Decision:

1.That the Council acquires 47 Christie Miller Road for a nominal sum

 

2.That the Council undertakes the necessary work  to bring the property into a habitable state.

 

3.That the property is offered for sale of shared ownership basis with a maximum of 75% equity available for purchase

 

4.That the property is offered for shared ownership sale on a cascade basis starting with households who live within Christie Miller Road cascading out to a wider area if no purchasers come forward.

15/01/2021 - HTW-01-21 - Proposed Waiting, Loading and Parking Restriction Alternations Proposed Toucan Crossings - Chippenham ref: 1725    Recommendations Approved

To:

 

(i)               Consider the objections received to the advertised amendments to parking, waiting and loading restrictions on New Road, Station Road, Monkton Hill, Marshfield Road and The Bridge Chippenham. 

 

(ii)              Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to implement the parking and waiting restrictions.

 

(iii)            Consider the objections received to the advertised changes to the replacement of the existing Pelican and Zebra Crossings on Marshfield Road to a Toucan Crossing.

 

(iv)            Recommend the implementation of the Toucan Crossings
