To ask the Cabinet Member for Highways, Transport and Waste to consider whether the Council should grant a request from Mrs. Sharon Pearce to apply to the magistrates’ court for an order stopping-up highway rights over a section of highway adjacent to her property at 168 Littleworth Lane, Whitley on the ground that the section concerned is unnecessary for public use or any other highway-related reason.

The section of highway concerned is shown cross-hatched in black on the plan at Appendix 1.

I consent to the application as detailed in the report.

This decision was published on 3 November 2020 and will come into effect on 11 November 2020.

To:

(i)         Consider the objections received to the advertised proposal for a Toucan Crossing and amendments to parking and waiting restrictions on Cocklebury Road, Chippenham. 

(ii)        Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to implement the parking and waiting restrictions.

I approve that:

(i)             The proposals be implemented as advertised.

(ii)            The objectors be informed accordingly.

This report sets out applications for Area Board Funding and seeks a decision from the Leader of the Council to determine urgent Area Board grant applications, where the Area Board has not been able to meet, and the amount of funding applied for exceeds delegated authority to Community Engagement Managers.

Following consultation with officers I give notice that I have determine grant applications detailed in the attached report, for the following Area Boards:

·       Chippenham

·       Westbury
