To ask the Cabinet Member to approve the statutory proposal published by Wiltshire Council and the governing body of Priestley Primary School on 26 April 2018. The notice proposes the enlargement of the school to provide a 1.5 Form of Entry (1.5FE), 315 place primary school. It is proposed to permanently increase the Published Admission Number (PAN) from 1 September 2019 (subject to planning approval) when an increase of 15 additional pupils will be admitted into the Reception Year. Up to 45 Reception age pupils will be admitted in each subsequent year.

This decision was published on 2 July 2018 and will come into force on 10 July 2018

To:

(i)            Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at various locations within East Parish Order.  These include the following sites within each parish:

Ludgershall: High Street, Deweys Lane

Market Lavington: High Street/Stobberts Road, High Street West of No 29

Pewsey: The Crescent/Church Street, High Street o/s No 23, Avonleaze Road/Broomcroft Road, Cosser Road

Potterne:Whistley Road, Court Hill/High Street

Rowde: Cock Road, Marsh Lane, Springfield Road

(ii)           Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) with minor amendments to the advertised proposal.

I approve that:

(i)            The restrictions be implemented as advertised, subject to the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3.

(ii)           The objectors be informed accordingly.

This decision was published on  26 June 2018 and will come into force on  4 July 2018          

To consider the comments received following the formal advertisement of a Zebra crossing at Hither Way, Lacock and to recommend an appropriate way forward.

I approve that:

(i)            The proposed Zebra crossing be installed as advertised. 

(ii)          The objectors be informed accordingly.

This decision was published on  4 July 2018 and will come into force on 12 July 2018.

To recommend that the Cabinet Member for Corporate Services, Housing, Heritage Arts and Tourism make the decision on behalf of Wiltshire Council as sole trustee of the Edwin Young Collection and the John Creasey Museum (the Charitable Trusts) to:

1. Merge the Edwin Young Collection (EYC) and John Creasey Museum (JCM) into a new single charitable trust to be called The Young & Creasey Gallery Trust.

2. Delegate authority to the Director, Communities and Communications to conclude all necessary formalities relating to the merger of the Trusts into the new single charitable trust including entering into all legal documentation and liaising with and complying with any requirements of the Charity Commission.

To ask the Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport to consider whether the Council should grant a request from Mr Harrop and Miss Van Hoegaerden, owners of Charlcutt Barn, Charlcutt to apply to the magistrates’ court for an order stopping up highway rights over part of the verge of the C118 road on the ground that it is not necessary for public use.  The section of highway concerned is shown cross-hatched in black on the plan at Appendix 1.  

To consent to the application to stop up the Highway at Charlcutt Barn, Charlcutt, Calne, as detailed in the report.

This decision was made on 21 June 2018 and will come into force on 29 June 2018
