This report sets out decisions requested from Area Boards between 1 – 31 October 2021.

 

Area Board meetings have been held online and have been accessible to the public via Microsoft Teams for those wishing to take part and contribute to discussions on grant funding, decisions on delegations and key priorities. In addition, meeting recordings could be viewed through a link provided on the agenda and meeting page from the council website (published 5 clear days in advance).

 

This report seeks a decision from the Leader of the Council to confirm decisions, following the discussions and recommendations at the Area Board meetings. It is not possible for the Area Boards to formally make the decisions at this time as they are unable to meet in person on public-health advice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

16/11/2021 - HTW-31-21 - Speed Limit on Oxford Road - Calne North ref: 1801    Recommendations Approved (subject to call-in)

To consider the comments received following the formal advertisement of a proposed 40 mph speed limit on Calne Oxford Road (north of Sand Pit Road) and proposed 20 mph Zones on Weston Close and Dew Way (newly developed residential areas) and to recommend an appropriate way forward.

(i)       Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at various locations within the North Wiltshire Parish Order.

 

(ii)       Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order with minor amendments to the advertised proposals.

To consider the results of the public consultation and technical assessment on the Tranche 2 Active Travel cycle scheme at Easton Lane, Chippenham (linking Chippenham and Corsham) and recommend a way forward.
