As families are getting bigger and the average age of a adults
leaving their family homes increasing, so are the amount of cars
per household.
The increase has become very evident across Queens road in
Westbury, Ash grove and Beech grove being the worst hit.
The huge influx in cars along this street has not only been a cause
of concern for the residents, but also emergency services, who have
had difficulty in passing this area to attend to their call
outs.
There have been several incidents of "near misses" with pedestrians crossing the street as it can become very difficult to ensure the road is clear when crossing.
With all said above, many of the residents belive there is ample
space to create more parking by using the verges
of grass along the pavements.
We ask that this matter is to be taken seriously.
