(i)               Consider the comments received following the formal advertisement of proposed amendments to the layout of waiting restrictions at various locations in Salisbury.

 

(ii)              Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO hereafter) as advertised.

Consultation process

Consultation has been undertaken with:

 

·                  The elected Wiltshire Council Members representing Salisbury Wards.

 

·                  The elected Salisbury City Council Members for all Salisbury Wards through the statutory TRO consultation process.

 

·                  Members of the Salisbury Community Area Transport Group.

 

·                  Emergency services through the statutory TRO consultation process.

 

·                  Members of the public through the statutory TRO consultation process.

 

The proposed TRO was subject to formal consultation between 17 June 2021 and 12 July 2021. During the consultation period a total of eleven items of correspondence were received in response to the Council’s proposals. Of those eleven items one expressed support for the Council’s proposals, seven objected to the Council’s proposals and three offered comments on the Council’s proposals without specifically supporting or opposing them.
