Issue - meetings

The Chairman, Councillor Richard Britton, welcomed everyone to the extraordinary meeting of the Southern Wiltshire Area Board.

He explained that the extraordinary meeting had been scheduled in order to allow the Board to consider an additional tranche of grant applications for funding from the Community Area Grant Scheme, before the end of the financial year.

Since the scheduling of the meeting, Cabinet had agreed that all Area Boards be permitted to roll-over any monies they had not spent during the available time from the 2009/10 budget into the 2010/11 budget. This would apply in respect of 2010/11 only and would be reviewed in subsequent years.
