The Chairman will welcome members and attendees to the Calne Area Board.

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the additional Calne Area Board and introduced the Councillors and Officers present.

To receive any declarations of disclosable interests or dispensations granted by the Standards Committee.

There were no declarations of interest.

To consider two applications to the Community Area Grants Scheme, as follows:

1.    Cherhill Village Hall – award a community area grant of £400 to provide a projector screen.

2.    Mobile CCTV unit – consider a Councillor led initiative contributing £10,000 towards a mobile CCTV resource in conjunction with Chippenham Area Board and Corsham Area Board.

Return of literacy grant

Cherhill Village Hall Digital literacy grant – to note the return of an award of £499 made to Cherhill Village Hall on 4^th February 2014.

Two applications to the Community Area Grants Scheme were considered.

Decision:

Cherhill Village Hall was awarded £400 to provide a projector screen.

Decision:

A contribution of £10,000 was awarded for a Councillor led initiative towards a Mobile CCTV unit with an additional maximum of up to £5,000 delegated to the CAM and Chairman which may be used to increase the contribution if required.

The Board noted that the digital literacy grant awarded to Cherhill Village Hall of £499 had been returned as the funds were no longer required.

The next Area Board meeting is to be held at Calne Town Hall, Bank House, The Strand, Calne, SN11 0EN on Tuesday 8^th April at 19:00.
