The Chairman welcomed Cllr Laura Mayes – Deputy Leader, Wiltshire Council and Jen Salter – Director of Family Services, Wiltshire Council to the meeting.

Points made included:

 

Anti-Social Behaviour – That officershad carriedout targetedpatrols inand aroundHolders Field,Sidbury Circular andForest Courtover the lastmonth followingcomplaints regardingASB andexcessive noise.Local teams had engaged witha numberof youth andappropriate andproportionate actionhad beentaken whendealing withany relatedoffences.

 

Non dwelling burglaries - Whilst there had been asignificant reductionin reportednon-dwellingburglaries acrossthe area,teams had continuedto carryout anumber of proactiveoperations throughoutthe summermonths. Theseproactive operationswould continuein thecoming months,to disruptpossible offendingand gatheringintelligence where possible.

Community Speed Watch – Officers fromthe neighbourhoodand responseteams hadcontinued tosupport ourCommunity Speedwatchcolleagues where possible outin thecommunity.

Rural Crime - High visibilitypatrols conductedtargeting RuralCrime, Poaching,Hare Coursing& Dogattacks onlivestock at Viney’s Farm, RatfynFarm, ParkFarm &Countess Farm.Heightened patrolsat presentdue toincreased national threat levelin theftsof fertilizer& diesel.

 

Collingbourne Ducis - Speed checks continued to be carried out.

 

That teams had been giving knife crime/county lines/CSE presentations to local schools.

Local Highway and Footway Improvement Group (LHFIG) Update

Engagement and Partnership Team Structure

Graeme Morrison - Strategic Engagement and Partnerships Manager

Graeme Morrison - Strategic Engagement and Partnerships Manager gave a brief overview the new Engagement and Partnership Teamstructure.

 

Points made included:

 

That the new staffing structure for the Engagement and Partnerships team came into place from the 1 September and introduced three officer levels of support to local communities and Area Boards.

 

Officers would work collaboratively across community areas, however, locally named contacts would remain available for Councillors, partners and residents to directly engage with.

 

That the service would work with communities in an innovative and proactive way and empower them to do even more for themselves and to deliver to the Wiltshire Council Business Plan.

 

The Chairman thanked Graeme Morrison for his presentation.

Chute Cricket Club awarded £1,245 for Chute Cricket Club New Cricket Nets and Strip (50% from the capital budget, 50% from youth funding budget)

 

 

CollingbourneDucis Parish Council awarded £1,090 for Collingbourne Ducis Village Defibrillator (health & wellbeing funding budget)

 

 

Tedworth Equestrian awarded £2,000 for Solar lighting for the outdoor arena at the Tedworth Equestrian Centre Humber Lane Tidworth (50% from the youth budget, 50% from the capital budget)

 

 

Castledown Bowls Club awarded £1,449.30 for Castledown Bowls Club winter project (capital budget)
