Andy Cadwallader - Area Engineer Highways West Wiltshire at Wiltshire Council outlined the 5 year highways plan for the Bradford on Avon community area.

 

The full report was contained in the agenda pack.

 

Points made from the Area Board members included:

 

It was noted that areas not included in the report could still be submitted to the Wiltshire Highways Department for consideration.

1st Holt Guides awarded £600 for International Experience for Guides and Brownies in Bradford on Avon

Monkton Farleigh Parish Council awarded £1,750 for provision of an external defibrillator at Farleigh Rise, BA15 2QP

Community Priorities update

Ros Griffiths – Community Area Manager

Minutes:

Ros Griffiths – Community Area Manager advised that Community Priorities updatewould now be a standing item on future Bradford on Avon Area Board agendas

 

Points made included:

 

·         That the recent Bradford on Avon Climate Festival had been a really successful event

 

·         That the Charging points in the Station car park would be repaired in the near future

 

·         That the Holt bus service was to be improved

 

·         Local Economy – That BoA Business was now back up and running

 

·         Youth Survey – continued to run until 22 October, with around 2,400 responses across Wiltshire. An update would be given at a future Area Board meeting

·         Last meeting held on 4 October – a good meeting, with lots of positive updates

The notes of meeting held on 26 July were agreed.

 

·         That a Traffic consultation was to be carried out late November/early December 2021

 

·         Concerns re vehicles mounting the kerbs in Market street

 

·         Next meeting Wednesday 23 February 2022 (to be confirmed)
