3) HM The Queen Birthday Honours
The Chairman announced that a number of Wiltshire residents had received
national recognition in her majesty’s birthday honours’ list in June 2019 as listed below.
Attention was drawn in particular to the awards for Alistair Cunningham, Executive Director, Growth and Place; Robin Townsend, Director, Corporate Services; Simon Rowe, Network Operations Manager, who all received awards in relation to their services to the community following the Salisbury and Amesbury incidents in 2018, and also to Councillor Fleur de Rhé-Philipe for her services to Local Government and the community.

4) Resignation of Cllr David Jenkins
The Chairman drew attention to the recent resignation of Councillor David Jenkins, Westbury North Division. A by-election had been scheduled for 18 July 2019. The Chairman took the opportunity to thank Councillor Jenkins for his service to the residents in his Division and the Council since his election in 2009.
5) Trowbridge Drynham By-election
The Chairman welcomed Councillor Andrew Bryant to the Council following his election in the Trowbridge Drynham by-election on 4 July 2019.
6) Former Cllr David Lay
The Chairman sadly announced the recent death of former Councillor David Lay who had been a Member of the former County Council during the 1990s.
