This is a particularly busy stretch of road, with significant
traffic of all types, including big lorries.
It is also a regular crossing point for school children, both
primary and secondary, as well as park users and their dogs.
Traffic regularly accelerates to high speeds between the
roundabouts, presenting unnecessary risk to pedestrians of all
types. A 20mph limit would reduce the risk to pedestrians and would
make no difference to road users. A camera would ensure that the
limit is understood and enforced.
