To recommend that the Leader of the Council approves the two applications for funding as set out in the attached report, following consideration of the recommendations from the Area Board.

I approve the awarding of £750 Area Board grant funding for Manton in Bloom and £1000 Area Board grant funding for Marlborough in Bloom

This decision was published on 26 June 2015 and will come into force on 4 July 2015.

The Area Board is unable to take the decision.

To approve or to refuse the applications and the amounts of funding that have been offered to each by Marlborough Area Board.

The Marlborough Area Board was unable to determine two applications for funding from different applicants at its meeting of 19 May 2015.  This inability to reach a decision then was due to 1 of the 4 Area Board Councillors having sent apologies and another Councillor declaring a non-pecuniary interest in two of the three community area grant applications being considered by the Area Board at that meeting.  This meant Marlborough Area Board was not quorate in deciding upon these two separate grant applications at the meeting of 19 May 2015. As such, the two applications are referred to the Leader of the Council for determination.
