Decision details

To:

(i)         Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at various locations in the Royal Wootton Bassett Traffic Regulation Order.

(ii)        Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order with amendments to the advertised proposals, as detailed in Appendix 2.

Following consultation with officers I give notice that I intend to make the decision set out in the attached report.  If you would like to make any representations to me on this issue please do so by 3 August 2015.

The comments set out in Appendix 1 on the various objections received indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the scheme with the minor amendments detailed in Appendices 2 and 3. 

To:

(i)         Implement the proposals as advertised.

(ii)        Not implement the proposals.

(iii)       Implement the proposals with amendments.

The Royal Wootton Bassett Town Council was consulted as part of the advertisement process for the proposals and the recommendations have been discussed with the appropriate Wiltshire Councillors for those areas.

As a result of the public advertisement, 15 letters of representation were received. There were 8 comments of support and 7 of objection.

These are listed in Appendix 1, together with a summary of their comments and officer comments on the points raised.
