Decision details

To:

(i)         Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at various locations in the West Wiltshire Parishes Order.

(ii)        Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order with minor amendments to the advertised proposals.

I approve that:

(i)            The restrictions be implemented as advertised, subject to the amendments detailed in Appendix 3.

(ii)           The objectors to be informed accordingly.

This decision was published on 19 February 2016 and will come into force on 29 February 2016.

The comments set out in Appendix 1 on the various objections received indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the scheme with the amendments detailed in Appendix 3.

To:

(i)         Implement the proposals as advertised.

(ii)        Not implement the proposals.

(iii)       Implement the proposals with amendments

All Parish Councils, where proposals were located, were consulted as part of the advertisement process for the proposals and the recommendations have been discussed with the appropriate Wiltshire Councillors for those areas.

As a result of the public advertisement, 103 letters of representation were received across the six effected parishes.

Proposals in Atworth received 9 letters, 8 objecting and 1 in support.  In Hilperton, 38 letters were received with 28 objecting and 10 in support. In Holt, 15 letters were received with 6 objecting and 9 in support.  In North Bradley, 1 letter of support was received.  In Staverton 28 letters were received with 24 objecting and 4 in support.   In Winsley, 13 letters were received with 6 objecting and 7 in support.
