To:

(i)            Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at various locations within Warminster Parish Order.

(ii)           Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) with minor amendments to the advertised proposal.

DECISION MADE

            I approve that:

(i)            The restrictions be implemented as advertised, subject to the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3.

(ii)           The objectors be informed accordingly.

                This decision was published on 27 July 2017 and will come into force on 4 August 2017.             

The comments set out in Appendix 2 on the various objections received indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the scheme with minor amendments as shown in Appendix 3.

To:

(i)         Implement the proposals as advertised.

(ii)        Not implement the proposals.

(iii)       Implement the proposals with amendments.

As part of the town centre parking review the relevant town and parish councils were consulted prior to the advertisement process. The review resulted in 8 locations in Warminster being put forward to advertisement. These locations were; Boreham Road, Chapel Street and Fore Street, Christchurch Terrace, Grovelands Way, Luxfield Road and Woodland Road, Masefield, Plants Green, Station Road.

During the advertisement period a total of 7 items of correspondence have been received in response to the proposals contained within the advertised TRO. Of those 7 letters received, 2 supported the scheme 4 objected and 1 commented on the proposal.
