Decision details

To:

(i)         Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at various locations within North Wiltshire Parishes.

(ii)        Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) as per the advertised proposals with the exception of proposals in Box.

I approve that:

(i)            The restrictions be implemented as advertised, with the exception of proposals in Box.

(ii)          The objectors be informed accordingly.

This decision was published on 11.12.17 and will come into force on 19.12.17           

The comments set out in Appendix 2 indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the scheme as advertised with the exception of proposed restrictions in Box. 

To:

(i)         Implement the proposals as advertised.

(ii)        Not implement the proposals.

(iii)       Implement the proposals with amendments.

As part of the town centre parking review numerous parish councils were consulted prior to the advertisement process. The review resulted in 13 locations across 7 parishes within the north of Wiltshire being put forward to advertisement.

During the advertisement period a total of 13 items of correspondence was received in response to the proposals contained within the advertised TRO.  Of the 13 items of correspondence received, 7 expressed support for the Council’s proposals, 3 objected to the proposal in its current form and 3 commented on the proposals.
