To:

(i)            Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at various locations within Devizes Parish Order.

(ii)           Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) with minor amendments to the advertised proposals.

I approvethat:

(i)            The restrictions be implemented as advertised, subject to the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3.

(ii)           The objectors be informed accordingly.

This decision was published on 16 January 2020 and will come into force on 24 January 2020.           

The comments set out in Appendix 2 on the various objections received indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the scheme with the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3. 

To:

(i)         Implement the proposals as advertised.

(ii)        Not implement the proposals.

(iii)       Implement the proposals with amendments.

As part of the town centre parking review the Town Council was consulted prior to the advertisement process and 12 locations within Devizes were put forward to advertisement. 

The TRO for this proposal was advertised from 15 August 2019 until 16 September 2019.

During the advertisement period a total of 18 items of correspondence were received in response to the proposals contained within the advertised TRO. Of the 18 items of correspondence received, 4 expressed support for the Council’s proposals, 11 objected to the proposal in its current form and 3 commented on.
