Is subject to call in?: Yes
To consider comments received to the advertised proposals to introduce waiting restrictions outside of Winterslow Primary School, Middleton, Winterslow and to recommend implementation as advertised.
DECISION MADE
I approve that:
(i) The waiting restrictions be implemented as advertised.
(ii) Those who made comment be informed accordingly.
This decision was published on 9 March 2021 and will come into force on 17 March 2021.
The proposals have been developed in conjunction with Winterslow Parish Council and Winterslow Primary School and are considered necessary to ensure the safety of the parents and pupils attending the school. Any extension of the proposals will potentially compromise compliance with the restrictions and will require re-advertising risking a delay in introduction of the restrictions and additional objections.
The restrictions, once installed on site, can (if appropriate) be extended at a later date.
(i) To implement the advertised changes.
(ii) To implement the advertised changes with additional amendments to the speed limits in the area.
Other reasons / organisations consulted
Consultation has been undertaken with:
through the South West Wiltshire Community Area Transport Group and statutory Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) consultation process.
The proposal was subject to formal advertisement between 12 November 2020 and 07 December 2020. During the advertisement period a total of one item of correspondence, an objection was received. This report considers the comments made in relation to the proposed introduction of waiting restrictions.
