I approve that:
(i) The proposals be implemented as advertised.
(ii) The objectors be advised accordingly.
This decision was published on 27 April 2021 and will come into force on 6 May 2021.
Reasons for the decision:
The proposal is intended to improve traffic conditions by reducing the speed limit to 20 mph at appropriate locations and provide a positive impact on road safety. The proposals will also be in accordance with both Priority 2 and Priority 4 of the Council’s Business Plan.
Alternative options considered:
To:
(i) Implement the advised changes.
(ii) Abandon the proposals and retain the existing restriction.

The consultation ended on 22 January 2021.
During the consultation period a total of fourcomments were received.
The proposal has been developed following prioritisation by the Amesbury Area Board.
