DECISION MADE
I approve that:
(i) The restrictions be implemented as advertised.
(ii) The objectors be advised accordingly.
This decision was published on 29 April 2021 and will come into force on 11 May 2021.
Reasons for the decision:
The proposal is intended to improve traffic flow along Abberd Way and increase the available space for vehicles to pass each other where vehicles are currently parked on both sides of the carriageway.
The comments set out in Appendix 2 on the various objections received indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the scheme.
Alternative options considered:
To:
(i) Implement the advertised changes.
(ii) Abandon the proposals and to retain the existing restriction.

The consultation ended on 1 March 2021.
During the consultation period a total of thirteencomments were received in relation to the proposal for Abberd Way and Broken Cross.
The proposal has been developed following prioritisation by the Calne Sandpit Road Section106 working group.
