To consider the comments received following the formal advertisement of proposed waiting restrictions in Royal Wootton Bassett and to recommend an appropriate way forward

I approve that:

(i)            The restrictions be implemented as advertised, subject to the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3

(ii)           The objectors be advised accordingly

This decision was published on 30 April 2021 and will come into force on 11 May 2021

The proposal is intended to reduce the impact of parking by employees from ‘Imagine Cruising’ who find the area to be a convenient location via a footway link to their premises to the south of Bincknoll Lane when no parking is available

The comments set out in Appendix 2 on the various objections received indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the scheme with the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3

To:

(i)            Implement the advertised changes

(ii)           Abandon the proposals and to retain the existing restriction

(iii)          Implement the proposals with amendments

The consultation ended on 22 February 2021

During the consultation period a total of sixcomments were received

The proposal has been developed following prioritisation by the Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Area Board
