Purpose:

To ensure that there is an appropriate number of Authorising Officers within the Council to provide sufficient cover.


Decision:

Following consultation with officers I have made the decision set out in the attached report. If you would like to make any representations to me on this issue, please do so by 1 September 2022.

 

This decision was published on 24 August 2022 and will come into force on 2 September 2022.

Reasons for the decision:

Due to resignations and retirements there are currently limited numbers of Authorised Officers insufficient to provide cover throughout the year

Alternative options considered:

To authorise named officers or remain with status quo.

Other reasons / organisations consulted

No consultation necessary other than with named officers to be authorised as it is an operational decision which has been delegated to the cabinet member.
