DECISION MADE
I approve that:
(i) The proposals be implemented as advertised.
(ii) The objectors be advised accordingly.
This decision was published on 2 November 2023 and will come into force on 10 November 2023.
The proposal is intended to improve traffic conditions by reducing the speed limit to 20-mph on these residential roads and is in line with national guidance. Collectively, it is considered these changes will provide a positive impact on road safety. The proposals will also be in accordance with both outcome 2 and 3 of the Council’s Business Plan.
To:
(i) Implement the proposals as advertised.
(ii) Implement the proposals as advertised with amendments.
(iii) Abandon the proposals.

The formal consultation period ended on 13 February 2023.
During the consultation period a total of 9 items of correspondence were received in response to the Council’s proposals. Of those 9 items, 8 expressed support including additional comments for the Council’s proposals, and one objected to the Council’s proposals.
The proposal has been developed following prioritisation by the Westbury Local Highways & Footway Improvement Group (LHFIG) and endorsement by Westbury Area Board.
