Purpose:
To approve the disposal of an area of land of approximately 16 square metres as shown edged red on the plan to the owners of 31 and 32 Whiterow Park on terms to be agreed by the Head of Strategic Property Services.
The owners of 31 and 32 Whiterow Park, Trowbridge, which adjoins the land shown edged red on the plan (Appendix 1) have obtained planning permission to build new dwellings in their rear gardens. In order to gain access to the new dwellings they need to cross the council’s land. Rather than giving access rights it would make more sense to dispose of the freehold interest in the land.
Reasons for the decision:
To dispose of a small parcel of land which is of little use to the council and obtain a capital receipt.

To:
(i) Dispose of the land.
(ii) Not dispose of the land.

Internal consultation with relevant departments has been carried out and there is no council requirement for this land.
