Purpose:

To consider one objection in relation to the introduction of speed table traffic calming measures and a raised table on the approved Zebra crossing on Pearce Way, Salisbury.

 

Copy of Order (see Appendix 1).

 

Decision:

The introduction of two speed tables and a raised table at the Zebra crossing will encourage vehicles to travel at the speed stipulated by the approved speed limit, that being 30 mph.

 

Alternative options considered:

To:

 

(i)                    Implement proposals as advertised.

 

(ii)                   Not implement proposals.

 

(iii)                  Implement proposals with amendments.

 

Other reasons / organisations consulted

Consultations (at pre-consultation and full consultation stage) have been undertaken with the Fire, Police and Ambulance Services and also with the relevant bus companies. The Town and Parish Councils have been consulted. Correspondence has been received and acknowledged from the local Wiltshire Council Member. Advertisements have been posted in the local press and notices posted in a prominent position on the site.
