To determinewhether electedmembers shouldhave accessto theWiltshire Rewards employee benefitsscheme

I approvethe decision thatWiltshire Councilelected membersshould nothave accessto any elementsof theWiltshire RewardsScheme atthis time.

The currentintention ofthe schemeis torecruit, retainand engageWiltshire Council staff.     If thescheme isextended toother groups(e.g. volunteers)in thefuture the decision regardingaccess forelected memberswill bereviewed.

Option 1

To confirmthat electedmembers shouldnot haveaccess toany ofthe elementsof the newWiltshire Rewardwebsite andthat anyaccess willcease withremoval ofthe current staff benefitswebsite inearly 2014.  This willmean theycannot accessthe national or localdiscounts, orthe salarysacrifice schemes.

Option 2

To confirmthat electedmembers shouldhave accessto theWiltshire Rewardswebsite, with access tonational andlocal discounts,and thesalary sacrificeschemes.

Option 3

To confirmthat electedmembers canhave accessto thediscount elementsof the WiltshireRewards schemebut beexcluded fromthe salarysacrifice arrangements offered throughthe scheme.

This matterwas consideredby StaffingPolicy Committeein July2013.  Itwas determined that thedecisions regardingelected memberaccess tothis schemewas not onethat StaffingPolicy Committeecould takeand thisdecision wastherefore referredto Cabinetand itwas determinedthat thedecision shouldbe delegatedto Cllr StuartWheeler.
