Wiltshire Council has developed a scheme, with the aim to improve local safety along the High Street, near Willis Way.

As part of the scheme development, the views of Purton Parish Council, The Scouts, Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Area Board and Community Area Transport Group were sought.

As part of the formal statutory process, copies of the proposal were distributed to Wiltshire Police, the Wiltshire Council Member and Purton Parish Council.
