DECISION MADE
I approve that:
(i) The proposals be implemented as advertised.
(ii) The objectors be advised accordingly.
This decision was published on 27 September 2022 and will come into force on 5 October 2022.
The proposed 20-mph limit is intended to improve actual and perceived road and pedestrian safety, encouraging greater uptake of walking and cycling. The proposed limit meets the criteria set by Wiltshire Council policy and the guidance given by the Department for Transport.
The proposals will also be in accordance with both Priority 2 and Priority 4 of the Council’s Business Plan.
To:
(i) Implement the advertised changes.
(ii) Abandon the proposals and retain the existing restriction.

The consultation commenced on 30 June 2022 and ended on 25July 2022.
During the consultation period a total of two comments were received.
The proposal has been developed following prioritisation by the Stonehenge Area Board.
