The Area Board received a written update and presentation from Insp Andy Lemon, which included an update on the Neighbourhood Policing Team, team focus, action and priorities, tackling shop theft, and comparisons in crime statistics for January 2024 and January 2025.
Area Board members and residents commented on dealing with shop theft if witnessed, tact stamping, and traffic issues on the B3105 – Bath Road.
· Road Safety Update
The Area Board received a presentation from Perry Payne, Wiltshire Road Safety Partnership, which included detail about the members of the Partnership, Vision Zero, the three main workstreams – engineering, education and enforcement, traffic surveys, community speed watch – including statistical data and traffic survey information for the Bradford on Avon area, speed indicator devices, Operation Snap, CSEO activity both county wide and in the Bradford on Avon area, the Road Policing Unit and emerging issues.
The Partnership representative responded to the following comments and questions:
· The use of the Snap portal to upload videos from phones, dash cams or other devices to assist prosecutions. · The information provided by speedwatch cameras and requests from Parish and Town Councils for new speedwatch locations.
The Chairman thanked Perry Payne, Partnership Representative for his very informative presentation.
· Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service – Quarterly Update – This item was deferred until the next Area Board meeting. |

Area Board Priority Updates To receive updates on the Area Board priorities.
Minutes: The Engagement and Partnership Lead provided a verbal update summing up the activities of the Area Board priorities over the last four years. Details included the activities for youth, ageing well and community events and how the Area Board had supported the activities through officer time and award of grant funding. |

The Area Board also considered an Area Board Initiative grant application, two Community Area grant applications and one Older and Vulnerable grant application and heard from the applicants.

a. Share and Repair - Bradford on Avon Repair Cafe – to award £423.50 towards a new PAT test machine. b. Westwood Social Club - £1,000 awarded under delegated authority towards Westwood Social Club Enfield Room Insulation

a. Floaty Boat – to award £500 towards Pay it Forward fuel scheme for Boaters |

Minutes: Cllr Sarah Gibson reported that this would be her final meeting as a Wiltshire Councillor as she was not standing for re-election in the local elections in May 2025.Cllr Gibson thanked all the officers and her fellow Councillors for the help, support and advice over the last four years, and wished the Area Board well for the future. |
