Target audience:  All councillorslooking todevelop afresh approachto theway thatthey communicate.

 

 

 

Introduction / What is it about?

Aim

 

This workshopaims toincrease confidenceand flexibilityin dealingwith peopleand improve effectiveness byintroducing youto moreadvanced communicationskills.

 

 

Objectives

 

By theend ofthis one-dayworkshop participantswill beable to:

 

•    understand theimpact ofvoice, bodylanguage andbehaviour onothers

 

•    develop trustand presence

•    reduce defensiveness  andremove limitingassumptions inpeople's thinking

 

•    develop problem-solvingstrategies usingcreative thinking

 

•    develop listeningand questioningskills

 

•     have strategiesfor managingemotions

 

Cost to Town and Parish Council members wishing to attend:

£80 per attendee, which includes refreshments and all course material

Please note that payment would be required before attending the course.

Confirmation of bookings would be sent as soon as possible. Applicants will be put on a waiting list as Wiltshire councillors have priority when booking.
