To consider representations made to the advertisement of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) in relation to a proposed 20mph speed limit along Frogmore Road, Slag Lane, Hawkeridge Road, Westbury, and to recommend an appropriate way forward.

Consultation process

Consultation has been undertaken with:

 

  • The elected Wiltshire Council Member through the statutory TRO consultation process.
  • The elected Westbury Town Council through the statutory TRO consultation process
  • Members of the Westbury Local Highways & Footways Improvement Group (LHFIG)
  • Emergency services through the statutory TRO consultation process
  • Members of the public through the statutory TRO consultation process

 

The proposed TRO was subject to formal consultation between 27th September 2024 and 21st October 2024. During the consultation period a total of four items of correspondence were received in response to the Council’s proposal. Three of the four comments received have been considered as objections.

 

The proposal has been developed following prioritisation by the Westbury Local Highways & Footway Improvement Group (LHFIG) and endorsement by Westbury Area Board.
