The Future of the Young Peoples Support Service - YPSS
To enable measures to be taken to increase the attainment of the most vulnerable young people within our communities by producing a more effective behaviour support service at primary and secondary level. Cabinet are asked to consider closure of YPSS together with the delegation of the responsibility for this provision to secondary schools and the devolving of associated budgets.

Consultation process
Consultation has already begun with secondary Head teachers via WASSH and ongoing briefings are taking place with the professional associations. A paper has also been presented to schools forum who will consider a further paper at their December meeting
