(i)         Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at various locations within Chippenham Parish Order.

 

(ii)        Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) with minor amendments to the advertised proposal.

Consultation process

As part of the town centre parking review the relevant town and parish councils were consulted prior to the advertisement process. The review resulted in 27 locations in Chippenham being put forward to advertisement. These locations are listed in Appendix 1 of this report.

 

During the advertisement period a total of 110 letters of representation have been received in response to the proposals contained within the advertised TRO.  Of those110 letters received, 25 supported the scheme, 58 objected and 27 commented on the proposal.
