The Maltings and Central Car Park, Salisbury – Regeneration Update and River Park Scheme

This report provides main considerations to cabinet and seeks approval to progress the following matters:

1. Impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on the council’s delivery of the regeneration programme for the Maltings and Central Car Park site in Salisbury, and next steps to be taken in progressing this scheme with a view to progressing the acquisition of third party assets to enable the council to deliver its objectives
2. Progress made on developing the River Park scheme in collaboration with the Environment Agency, including the repurposing of the Local Growth Fund allocation in partnership with the Local Enterprise Partnership and the deliver programme for this critical flood mitigation and environmental enhancement project which will unlock the regeneration of the Maltings and Central Car Park while reducing flood risk for a significant number of residential and commercial properties in the city
