To consider 17 objections in regards to the proposed No Waiting at Any time on the road known as Leap Gate, Trowbridge (see Appendix 2).

 DECISION MADE

I approve that the proposals be implemented with amendments.

This decision was published on 20 December 2017 and will come into force on 2 January 2018.             

The introduction of  two lengths of evening parking (between 6pm and 8am) will allow some on-street parking for residents and provide some informal traffic calming at a time where traffic movement is low and vehicle speeds may become higher (see Appendices 3 and 4).

To:

(i)         Implement the proposals as advertised.

(ii)        Not implement the proposals.

(iii)       Implement the proposals with amendments.

Consultations have been undertaken with the Fire Service, Police and Ambulance Service and also with the relevant bus companies, the Town Council and the Local Member.  Advertisements have been posted in the local press and notices were posted in prominent positions at the site (see Appendix 1).
