Decision details

(i)            Consider objections to the advertised proposals for parking controls at various locations within Corsham.

(ii)           Recommend the making of the Traffic Regulation Order with minor amendments to the advertised proposals.

This decision was published on 2 February 2018 and will come into force on 12 February 2018.

The comments set out in Appendix 2 on the various objections received indicate that it is considered appropriate to introduce the scheme with the minor amendments detailed in Appendix 3. 

To:

(i)         Implement the proposals as advertised.

(ii)        Not implement the proposals.

(iii)       Implement the proposals with amendments.

As part of the town centre parking review the Town Council was consulted prior to the advertisement process. The review resulted in 21 locations in Corsham being put forward to advertisement. 

During the advertisement period a total of 84 items of correspondence were received in response to the proposals contained within the advertised Traffic Regulation Order (TRO). Of the 84 items of correspondence received, 11 expressed support for the Council’s proposals, 63 objected to the proposal in its current form and 10 commented on.
