Purpose:
To consider 1 comment and 1 objection received in response to the consultation for a 20 mph speed limit zone on various roads known locally as Culverhay, Cricklade and a 20 mph speed limit on a section of Bath Road, Cricklade (see Appendix 2).
Decision:
I approved that the scheme by implemented as advertised
This decision was published on the 22 February 2018 and will come into force on the 2 March 2018
Reasons for the decision:
To implement the 20 mph speed limit zone on various roads known locally as Culverhay (Cricklade) and the 20 mph limit on part of Bath Road, Cricklade as advertised.
Alternative options considered:
To:
(i) Implement the proposals as advertised.
(ii) Not implement the proposals.
(iii) Implement the proposals with amendments.
Other reasons / organisations consulted
Consultations have been undertaken with the Fire Service, Police and Ambulance Service and also with the relevant bus companies, the Town Council, the Local Member. Advertisements have been posted in the local press and notices were posted in prominent positions at the site (see Appendix 1).
