04/11/2020 - SPD 1-2020 Approval to dispose of the freehold interest of an Asset - Bulford, Allington and Figheldean Division ref: 1714    Recommendations Approved (subject to call-in)

1.         To declare the former St Michael’s Primary School site surplus to Council’s operational requirements and confirm that, subject to first obtaining the consent of the Secretary of State for Education to the disposal of school land and buildings under s77 of the SSFA (1998), the freehold may be sold in line with the terms set out in Appendix 2 – Exempt Appendix.

 

2.         Subject to having obtained the aforementioned consent of the Secretary of State to authorise the Director for Housing and Commercial Development to dispose of the freehold interest in the asset or in his or her absence the Interim Corporate Director Resources

Following consultation, I give notice that I have made the decision set out in the attached report:

03/11/2020 - HTW-09-20: Proposed Application to Stop Up Highway Adjacent to 168 Littleworth Lane, Whitley (Melksham Without North) ref: 1712    Recommendations Approved

To ask the Cabinet Member for Highways, Transport and Waste to consider whether the Council should grant a request from Mrs. Sharon Pearce to apply to the magistrates’ court for an order stopping-up highway rights over a section of highway adjacent to her property at 168 Littleworth Lane, Whitley on the ground that the section concerned is unnecessary for public use or any other highway-related reason.

 

The section of highway concerned is shown cross-hatched in black on the plan at Appendix 1.
